Energy
Sectors that were not born digital and now have to be. Without losing users in the transition.
Large energy companies have been building digital relationships with their customers from scratch for a decade. It is a different challenge than in banking: here the user does not expect an exceptional experience — they are satisfied with it working, with understanding their bill, with changing their rate without needing a manual.
The bar seems low. It is actually very high, because organizations in this sector combine extreme operational complexity, strict regulation and millions of users who interact very little but react very strongly when something goes wrong.
Designing well in energy means understanding that asymmetry: the user who doesn't think about you until there is a problem. Design that makes complexity invisible is a direct business asset here.
What we do in this sector:
- Customer experience architecture: customer portal, mobile app, contract management and billing
- Design of interfaces for intelligent energy management and self-consumption
- Experiences with AI for consumption and energy efficiency recommendations
- Design systems for groups with multiple brands and markets
- Employee experience in field operations and customer service

The design system that turns consistency into a governance decision
A national energy infrastructure operator needed all of its digital products — built by different teams and vendors — to speak the same language.
Redesign the service station so that the customer chooses it, not just tolerates it
One of Spain's largest energy companies needed to transform its relationship model with individual customers: from a mandatory stop to an experience that is repeated by choice.
